What skelly does

Skelly gives each software project you connect a crew of AI agents: a lead, product, a tester, a designer and an engineer. You tell the lead what you want, and it becomes a story. When you say go, or when the crew takes its one thing for the day, the tester writes a test that fails until the story is done (for how a page looks, a browser test from the designer's plan), the engineer makes it pass, and skelly runs that test and your whole test suite before it lands the change.

Skelly is invite-only and still early. Features will change, and some may be removed.

Your account

You sign in with GitHub. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your GitHub account secure. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.

A workspace can have more than one member. The person who owns a workspace is responsible for who they invite and what those members say go on and accept.

Access you give us

Skelly works through the GitHub access you grant, on the repositories you choose. Only connect repositories you have the right to connect.

We use that access only to run skelly for you: to read your code, to make the changes in your stories, and to run their tests. You can remove access at any time in GitHub; work that needs it stops when you do.

Saying go

Skelly starts a story when you or a member of your workspace say go on it, and once a day on its own: at the morning standup, every day, whatever you started that day, it takes the first story on your backlog (behind anything running, it waits its turn), or, when the backlog is empty, one it finds worth doing. You still accept each story. A story pushes commits to your repositories: to a branch of its own, then to your main branch once its test and your whole suite pass.

You're responsible for the stories on your backlog, the ones you say go on, and what you ship. Keep backups and use the branch protections and reviews that suit your project. A passing test shows that one test passed; it isn't a promise that your software is free of problems.

AI

Skelly uses Claude, by Anthropic, to do the work. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or insecure. It is provided "as is", which is why skelly proves each change with a test and why you stay in charge of what ships.

Fees and usage

While skelly is invite-only, any fees are the ones agreed with you when you're invited. If we start charging, or change what we charge, we'll tell you the price at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Skelly shows the AI usage of your workspace on its Usage page. Budgets you set send warnings; they don't stop work or cap usage.

Your content

Your code, and everything skelly makes for you (stories, tests, changes and the project's thread), belong to you. You give us a limited license to store and process it so skelly works. We don't use your content to train AI models.

Acceptable use

Don't use skelly to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, spread malware, or reach systems or repositories you aren't allowed to. Don't try to get into other people's accounts or workspaces, overload the service, or reverse-engineer it.

Availability

We work to keep skelly running, but we can't promise it always will be. We may change or pause parts of it, and we'll give reasonable notice when we can.

Ending

You can stop at any time: remove skelly's GitHub access and tell us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. When an account closes, we'll keep your data available to export for a reasonable time, then delete it.

Liability

Skelly is provided "as is", without warranties, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and $100.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll tell you about material changes by email or in skelly before they apply. Using skelly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
